Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. The provider receives and processes the query under its own terms and privacy practices. Garfield County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Emails and Direct Messages
When someone sends an email or other direct message, we retain the submitted address, message, and related details as needed to read and answer it. We do not disclose that message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal demand.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
A normal page request can create basic server, analytics, or diagnostic data. This information helps deliver pages, understand general traffic, and find errors. It may include:
- The internet protocol address used for the request
- The browser type and version reported by the device
- The device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them
- The referring webpage or service, when supplied

Once a visitor follows a link, however, the destination's privacy policy governs its collection and use of data.
Some advertising companies may use cookies or related technology on their systems to connect activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs through the advertising partner's services, not within records held by Garfield County Released Inmates.
